Alison Heru makes shared decision making an integral part of practice

In my experience, shared decision making yields the best results in treatment. It is usually helpful to have a family member in with the patient on the first appointment. I tend to include family members, as they can provide me with more information than the patient alone.

Also... deep down I feel like 1 doesn't want to admit it but she is kind of tied to 2 and it's almost impossible to leave, but because she has such a big heart she won't hurt her friends feeling by ditching her for a more healthy group of friends.

I still want to be 1 friend but because her psycho and obsessed friend (not exaggerating --- she literally can't go anywhere without 1) is always there, I can never hang out with 1 and do things like go to the mall, invite her over...anything.
