I had some tip offs on edible freebies from my readers but sadly none of them came true

I did however, get a free croissant from my hotel on arrival, which was nice. There are so many opportunities for cheap food in Paris though. Crepes, croissants, french sticks with a picnic and the markets for starters. And it was really good, and came in a carafe, and left me feeling all warm and happy in the dull rain.
