I might be following the wrong people. I think once Christmas hits, Lion will pick up. It feels like a small arthouse hit and has Harvey behind it. Hacksaw Ridge is also a near lock. To me, this just screams of opportunism, using the current state of the world to market a movie as some sort of salvation.
